The firm was initially formed in January 1982 and began operations in Lansing, Michigan, on March 1,1982. The firm known as Siver, Niven & Montgomery, was moved to larger office space at the Lansing Capital City airport in the spring of 1983 and continued to grow.
In early 1984 Mr. Siver left the firm to join Dart Energy Corporation as its Senior corporate counsel, and eventually its Vice President General Counsel. The firm continued to do business for the next several years, while some of the original attorneys continued to practice with the firm and others retired or moved.
In the fall of 1993, Mr. Siver returned to the firm, and opened an office in Saint Johns, Michigan which for a short time merged with an Alma, Michigan law firm and became known as Roslund, Siver & Associates.
In June of 1994 the firm ended its relationship with the Alma law firm. In February 1996 the Firm moved back to Lansing and opened a Grand Rapids office. The firm presently does business under the name of Siver & Associates. There are offices in Grand Rapids and Fennville, Michigan.
In November of 1997 the firm moved the main office to its present Grand Rapids location and in September 2005, opened an office with limited hours, in Fennville, Michigan.
In Novemeber 2006, Harilos I. Sorovigas, and Thomas Daniel Siver joined the firm and it was moved to its present location February 1, 2007. Mr. Sorovigas brings expertise in the areas of family and immigration law to the firm while Mr. Tom Siver has a background in property management and real estate. The firm is now named Siver & Associates, PLLC.
